About WC International

WC International is an independent group that seeks to promote cultural diversity at schools and communities around them, organizations, churches and individuals through education. WC International is devoted to the integration of diverse cultures with the potential of a website and educational forums to provide a base for understanding and acceptance of different cultures. Short and long term goals have been set by WC International to accomplish its goal of reaching and promoting cultural diversity. Currently, one goal of the group is to educate people in Westminster College in Fulton Missouri and its surrounding communities. Another short term goal of the project is to educate people who visit the WC International website and take part in educational forum. The long term goal identified is the ability of people who use the services of the cultural diversity awareness program to carry forth what they learned and share them with others.

How does WC International view Cultural Diversity?

Diversity is the term used to describe people and population groups. It comprises of factors such as age, gender, race, ethnicity, ability, and religion, as well as education, professional background, and marital and parental status. With this concept in mind, diversity at different locations. Example of such places are the workforce, community or in an organization means the presence of different individuals working together to achieve common goals and to foster unity among existing groups of people. Diversity has become a major topic in our world today. Just like the human body, the leg, head, hands, trunk, eyes, brain etc. work together for the body to advance one step, so to does the world need diversity to function and develop in the right direction. Some people agree to the fact that diversity in humans makes the environment a better place to live in. The work people are doing to achieve diversity will be measured by future generations to come. It is the same people who work day after day to make sure a common world, full of different and bright colors exist in harmony. In the words of Donald Williams, an American astronaut, he states” for those who have seen the Earth from space, and for the hundreds and perhaps thousands more who will, the experience most certainly changes your perspective. The things that we share in our world are far more valuable than those which divide us.”
